Shoot Preview

Here is a small preview of Norah and Mason. The rest will come later. :)

WOOHOOO!

My first shoot is done and behind me. The weather was out of control! It was so hot but I think it went great! I took pictures until I couldn't take anymore and Norah and Mason were beautiful. I will be working on editing and posting a preview in a few days but until then this was the first picture of the day... Don't you just want to squeeze her!

Here I go!

I am off to do my first practice shoot! Wish me luck!

Fun with Photoshop

I am so amazed by how much photoshop can do... I know I have only scratched the surface but I am learning so much! I am so surprised at how much I have learned just by searching the web for online tutorials, workshops, manuals, etc... I am so excited by all of this!

There wasn't too much done with this picture in photoshop. I liked it the way it was so other than a couple of color adjustments I left it alone.

Fun in the water!

WOW!!!

I have discovered the most amazing tool yet in CS4! The burn tool! I actually feel a little stupid for not knowing where it was or how to use it until now so I am going back to Brennan's 18 month pics and using it where it's needed. I love love love this tool! It is great!

I'm Back!

Well we are back! We went on a great week long vacation in South Haven, MI. We sat on the beach almost the entire time and it was wonderful. I am getting to work on the pictures I took out there but I am sure it is going to be a slow process because I took way too many! I am also going to be taking pictures of my friend's kids this week so that should be fun! Wish me luck!

Little Norah

This picture isn't what most would like but I just love the innocence that it shows.

She is so cute!

I love Black & White!

Finally Here They Are!

18 Month Pictures

Yay! I finished taking Brennan's pictures! I was told to go to historical Locust Grove here in Louisville. It was great. There were so many cool places to take pictures. Brennan got sick of walking around so I just stuck to a few good areas. We had so much fun just looking around out there. It was great mommy & Brennan time.

I will be editing for the next couple of days and then I will post all of the pictures! Oh, I am not forgetting Carter in all of this. I am just trying to focus on one thing at a time. :)

Brennan's 18 Month Pics

Well I am starting to take Brennan's 18 month pictures(a little late). I want to take him to a few different places but we started in a park and when I actually got him to sit still I got some pretty good shots. I never thought about how well the boys listened when someone other than myself was taking their pictures.

I am still working on it but I think I finally have a pretty good balance with photoshop. I am starting to get a little more comfortable!! I am just so glad I am making progress..Here is a before and after shot that I worked on.

Photoshop

Ok... I can see how people can get really out of control with photoshop! There are so many options and changes you can make to your pictures. I can see how people go way too far. I spent a lot of time today playing with it while the kids took their naps. I would really like to find specific settings on there that I would use on a regular basis and get rid of all of the other stuff. :)

Raw & Manual Mode

Ok I am now focusing on my settings in my camera. I was told taking them in raw is the only way to go and of course manual. I am having a hard time figuring out how everything works together but I have been told to just practice, practice, practice!

More auto setting shots

Here are a couple more pictures I took with auto settings over the weekend. Nothing special but I just love these pictures so I had to post them.
